Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

In an effort to prevent fans from rejecting Goldberg's quick finish of Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reports the announcers were told to call the match like a fight, with specific emphasis unlike other bouts on the card.

The feeling going into it was that WWE fans are familiar enough with the UFC to know that anything can happen and that fights can end fast.

Vince McMahon kept the plans for the match close to his vest, although the outcome leaked before Survivor Series began.

We now know that once Vince got Goldberg to agree to more dates, he wanted to figure out a way to preserve Goldberg without overexposing him. He knew that quick dominant performances were what got Goldberg over in WCW in the first place so he wanted to go to what he knew worked in a shock match.

Goldberg will compete in next year's Royal Rumble match and is rumored to face Lesnar is a third singles match at Wrestlemania 33.
