WrestlingNewsWorld has learned the details behind Mauro Ranallo's new contract with WWE. The deal has been signed for two years, and it allows him to work non-wrestling shows with WWE clearance. Mauro is also now under contract with Bellator MMA as he will still call the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight.
If all goes well after two years, don't be surprised if Mauro replaces Michael Cole as the lead announcer for Monday Night Raw. Cole has wanted to transition into a full-time off-camera backstage role for a while now. This was something that was even discussed before the departure/return this year.
Mauro begins his new gig Friday night at the latest WWE NXT TV tapings.
