Bill DeMott has stepped down from his position as the head trainer for WWE. He issued the following statement on social media:
I deny the recent allegations made about me, however, to avoid any embarrassment or damage to the WWE, I've decided to step down from my role effective immediately.

As we reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium, Vince McMahon had finally accepted that Bill DeMott [as Head WWE NXT trainer] was a liability and was leaving it up to Triple H to handle it. Hunter was under a tremendous amount of pressure to remove him from the developmental coaching staff and was expected to meet with DeMott at Thursday night's show in Columbus, Ohio. DeMott worked that event as a producer. What's interesting is that DeMott is clear in his statement that he stepped down from his role, he did not write he is leaving WWE. When the story first broke on Monday, we were told he would likely be reassigned. Given the fact that DeMott is still denying the allegations, I would not be surprised if his employment with WWE continued in another capacity. In fact, WWE told us they were unable to validate the claims through an independent investigation when the original memo from Judas Devlin was sent two years ago. DeMott also received support from Chris Jericho and Luke Gallows. The allegations brought against DeMott include everything from reckless handling of injured talent to bullying and using racial and homophobic slurs.
