Originally, there was to be a match between Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler on last night's edition of Smackdown Live with the winner entering the WWE Championship match at Fastlane. However, when Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn attacked both guys, the match could never get started.

Later on in the night though, Shane McMahon forced Owens to face Corbin and for Zayn to face Ziggler. If either Corbin or Ziggler could get a win, they would be added to the championship match at Fastlane. If either Owens or Zayn interfered in the other's match, they would be removed from the match at Fastlane. As expected, Corbin was able to defeat Owens and Ziggler got a win over Zayn.

This means that Styles will now be defending his title against all four competitors in a Fatal Five-Way match.
