CM Punk Eliminated From MTV Reality Show

As we mentioned some time ago, CM Punk was one of the official contestants on the MTV reality show The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros. Punk was matched up against Olympian Gus Kenworthy on a recent episode and was eliminated when he lost a challenge that involved submerging one's self in frozen water, solving a puzzle board in three minutes and then submerging back underneath the water for another minute. The highlight of the show was a confrontation between Punk and another contestant who decided to call him out for celebrating a loss.

Jim Ross On "Extreme" Not Meaning Anything

In the latest edition of the Ross Report, Jim Ross talked about the use of the word "extreme" not really adding anything to the product:

"Look, I'm not by any means advocating that 'oh my god, we've gotta get blood back into wrestling.' I'm not saying that at all but the fact is the product has changed. It's more refined, it's more sophisticated, if you will, for the lack of a better term off the top of my head right now. So it's not really ever going to be related to extreme. That's not a negative. It's almost like... 'extreme,' to me, is a little bit like the term 'Diva.' It kind had its shelf life and let's move on. It doesn't enhance anything anymore."
