Daniel Bryan's Retirement Steals The Show At Raw

Daniel Bryan

Bigger than this week’s WWE Monday Night Raw was the legitimate retirement of Daniel Bryan. Zack recapped his retirement speech in the closing segment of this week’s show.

There have been numerous notable comments about Bryan’s status but the most important takeaway is that his retirement is legitimate. As Bryan explained, his status wasn’t determined until the results of a neurological test he had a week ago revealed his brain isn’t as healthy as he thought it was.

The retirement is interesting as we last heard and reported that Vince McMahon wanted Bryan on television for the Road to Wrestlemania 32, regardless if he could wrestle. Bryan only wanted to come back if he was allowed to wrestle. I’m under the assumption the results of the latest neurological testing changed Bryan’s mind and everything he stated in the promo on Raw was legitimate. Because this is professional wrestling, people will always remain skeptical.

Bryan revealed in the segment on Raw he cut his hair for the the "Wigs For Kids" organization, which provides wigs to kids with cancer with no charge to the family. After Raw went off the air, the locker room cleared out and greeted him at the ramp. Below are more notable tweets:
