We previously reported on this site that Dean Ambrose may be facing up to nine months on the shelf after suffering a possible complete tear of his UCL. We now have some further updates on the situation.
Ambrose underwent surgery yesterday and doctors discovered it is NOT in fact a complete tear and they will not need to replace the ligament, which is good news. They will need to replace the tear itself though and we will have a more concrete timeframe tomorrow.
It is likely to be somewhere in the neighbourhood of 4 - 6 months that Ambrose will need to be on the sidelines with this kind of injury though.
Stay tuned for further updates.
