The Undertaker made a rare public appearance on Friday at the Wizard World Austin Comic Con at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. Obviously fans wanted to know about Undertaker's status for Wrestlemania 31, in which he reportedly stated he had no plans to attend.

Shamsullah Baiani, who met Undertaker on Friday, documented his experience on Twitter. The following is from his account:

We can confirm Undertaker has not been in any of the preliminary plans for Wrestlemania 31 and there are continued questions regarding the talent that will be available for next year's show. The only part-time worker confirmed to compete at Wrestlemania 31 is Brock Lesnar.

As for Sting vs. Undertaker, it's a match Sting wants but hinges completely on Undertaker's desire and health. If Undertaker wasn't kayfabing on Friday (which, believe it or not, he's usually pretty honest when meeting fans), it would appear he doesn't have the desire to come back and work the show next year. A big part in him having Lesnar end the streak is he felt a lot of pressure to continue to work because he didn't want to retire undefeated. I spoke to several people familiar with Undertaker's thinking after the streak was ended and was told he didn't want to retire with a "clean sheet" after so many had done the honors for him.

In fact, it was stated that had CM Punk gone over Undertaker at Wrestlemania 29, he likely wouldn't have worked Wrestlemania 30 given issues with his health. However, a match against Lesnar is one Undertaker desired and even stated as much before Wrestlemania 29.

Essentially the ball is in Undertaker's court but the chances of him competing again next year appear slim at this time.
