Dolph Ziggler Relegated Back To WWE Midcard?

I don’t know if I’m reading too much into this, I’ve yet to hear from everyone but there was an interesting line on this week’s Raw when Seth Rollins accepted “This is Awesome” Moment of the Year on behalf of Sting. Rollins stated the following when speaking of Sting:

He [Sting] and he alone is solely responsible for putting The Authority out of power.

The line was after Rollins went over Dolph Ziggler dirty, who technically “put The Authority out of power” by winning the match for Team Cena at Survivor Series.

It would appear WWE is focused on teasing “something bigger” for Sting, while relegating Ziggler back to his role in the proverbial mid-card. Ziggler is set to challenge Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC on Sunday, while Sting will be featured in a prominent match at Wrestlemania 31.

The initial word was that Sting would be involved with something against The Undertaker but a seed has clearly been planted for a program with Triple H.

Richard Reacts: I stated last week that I hoped at least one of Rollins, Ziggler, Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt would remain in the main event picture for the Road to Wrestlemania. While this doesn't necessarily mean Ziggler won't be, he was certainly "put back in his place" on Raw. That is disappointing even though he was seen again. I worry Ziggler is being used more as a "place holder" than a viable main event talent.
