Deadspin.com dug up a 2008 interview of Triple H on the Opie and Anthony Show where he claimed that Donald Trump called WWE headquarters after they aired the angle on Raw in 2007 where Vince McMahon's limousine blew up to see if Vince had died. You can check out the highlight from the interview embedded above.

Triple H's comment didn't mean much at the time as he stated, a number of mainstream outlets picked up on the angle and there were numerous people that thought McMahon was legitimately killed in the storyline. Remember the week following they were set to hold the on-air "funeral" of McMahon that was canceled when news of the Chris Benoit family tragedy broke.

It was one of the biggest WWE blunders of all-time.

Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States next month.
