Early WWE Raw Preview - Cena Update, 5 Key Points, Main Event Doubtful, Talent

WWE will broadcast this week's Monday Night Raw tonight from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

One of the top things advertised for this week's show is an update on WWE Champion John Cena's right Achilles injury. Cena acknowledged on Sunday he's banged up but confirmed he won't miss this week's Raw. According to WWE, the Champ's status for Extreme Rules next month is in question.

Additionally, Cena is advertised in the show's main event, as it was announced last week he'll team with Ryback to take on The Shield. Given Cena's injury, consider this match doubtful.

Dot com posted their weekly Raw Five-Point Preview with a look at the following points:

1. Can The Shield be stopped?
2. A new Divas Champion on the horizon?
3. No love lost between Ziggler, Swagger and Del Rio
4. "Fandangoing" through Europe
5. How severe is Cena's injury?

The advertised dark match main event for this week's Raw taping is Cena & Alberto Del Rio vs. World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler & Ryback. Again, with Cena's injury, consider this match doubtful.

CM Punk was officially advertised for the broadcast at one point but has since been pulled. While he is still being advertised locally, he isn't expected to return to WWE until the May 27th episode of Raw. See also -CM Punk’s WWE Return Pushed Back – New Date Revealed

Neither Triple H nor Brock Lesnar are advertised to appear live on this week's broadcast to continue their feud leading into Extreme Rules next month.

The show is up against the 2013 NBA Playoffs but we'll have our weekly Raw Watch Party beginning at 7:30 PM EDT right here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com. The party features live streaming results and discussion, so make sure to stop by.
