The upcoming movie of the Fast & Furious franchise, now called The Fate of the Furious, had its official trailer released this week. The trailer drew 139 million viewers in its first 24 hours, which is the most ever.
The trailer features The Rock’s character being released from prison to help capture Vin Diesel's character, Dom, who turned on his former crew. Rock commented on the honor on Instagram:
Cool stuff. You made our #FateOfTheFurious trailer debut the highest watched trailer of all time within a 24hr period. 139 million views.
We also apparently broke a record of heart rates around the world spiked in women and men every time my face came on screen. Universal is still confirming the "Rock algorithm" on that one.
Thanks guys. We made a good one. #F8 #Hobbs #BeatingAssesLikeACherokeeDrum APRIL 14th.
We’ve included the trailer in the video above. As for what this means for WWE, it could be a lot as we reported earlier this week in our Members content. Click here for the latest.
