The hot rumor of the weekend is the possibility of Hulk Hogan returning to WWE. We’ve reported for months that Vince McMahon was planning to bring him back into the fold after his the crisis from his racist tirade tape died down and the lawsuit with Gawker was settled. Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, put gas on the fire when she told a TMZ photog on Saturday that people had been calling about Wrestlemania.
Coincidentally enough, Finn Balor fielded a question about Hogan possibly returning to WWE while doing a discussion panel at Wizard World Pittsburgh on Saturday. Here’s what he said:
“Obviously, the expression is [that] anything can happen in the WWE, and me as a fan, I would love Hulk Hogan to come back. I don’t know if that’s possible, but a lot stranger things have happened in the past, and it’s not out of the realm of possibility one bit – and I’d love it. If I got an opportunity to wrestle Hulk Hogan, that would be even better.”
Balor himself is the subject of return rumors as we learned last week he’s being advertised for WWE Roadblock next month. It’s unknown if Balor, who is recovering from a torn labrum, will indeed appear or if he is being advertised in error. We can confirm Balor is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
