Finn Balor is determined to get back to WWE by Wrestlemania 33 and has put all his time and energy the past four months in doing just that. In a new interview with The Sun out of the United Kingdom, Balor explained why he removed himself from the WWE Performance Center to seek treatment for his ailing shoulder in Birmingham, Alabama. Below is an excerpt:
“I don’t pay much attention to the news or what’s happening in politics and I applied that to wrestling because it is not important to me right now. What is important to me is getting my shoulder 100 percent right. So I took myself out of the WWE performance centre and took myself down to Birmingham, Alabama where they are one of the leading specialists in shoulder rehabilitation and working seven hours a day down there to try to make it back for WrestleMania.
"It’s nice to have a little break, I have been doing this for 14 years. You learn a lot more about yourself and I’m excited about the new Finn Balor that is coming back and not worried about the one I left behind. The target was six months and to be back for WrestleMania.”
The interview is available at this link.
While people are already pushing the idea that Balor could be a surprise Royal Rumble entrant, the timetable is still Wrestlemania 33 for him to return to the ring.
Wrestlemania 33 will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. We'll of course have live coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.
