Former Tough Enough Winner Passes Away at 38

Matt Cappotelli

Tragically, former Tough Enough winner Matt Cappotelli passed away at the age of 38 after succumbing following a long battle with brain cancer. In 2007, he had removed 90% of the tumor but it returned just last year in a larger, more aggressive form. He was given very slim chances of survival at that point and unfortunately, he only lasted about a year.

Cappotelli was well-liked among the wrestling community and even won the Tough Enough competition back in 2003. In 2006 while he was in Ohio Valley Wrestling, he unfortunately had to leave because of the complications.

We here at Wrestling News World offer our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and fans.
