Brock Lesnar was at Monday Night Raw in Nashville, TN and was officially advertised but was obviously not used.
Specifics regarding his non-usage are not available at press time.
I know people were interested in comments that Frank Mir made at the UFC Fight Night 61 post-fight press conference after beating Antônio Silva in Porto Alegre, Brazil on Sunday.
It was there Mir admitted he knew he had to beat Silva to keep a potential rubber match between Lesnar anywhere in the works.
"I think it's something that would catapult my name even higher up. I mean, a rubber match between the two of us would be a phenomenal fight. To keep that anywhere in the works, I had to get a win tonight."
MMAFighting.com recapped all of Mir’s comments at this link but they closed with this:
"If Brock Lesnar decides to come back, [I would] welcome him back," Mir said. "I don't think he likes getting punched very much; I'm looking like I'm actually figuring how to punch pretty hard. So whoever they give me. If I come in at 100 percent and I feel good like I did tonight, I wouldn't bet on anybody across from me.”
Brock’s WWE contract is rumored to expire after the March 30, 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw, which is the night after Wrestlemania 31. He is still advertised for that show.
Lesnar hasn’t wanted to talk about an extension but rather wants to let his contract expire and field offers from interested parties. We’re working on another Lesnar story that should be up sometime later today.
