Sting has worked his first match for WWE, a match against Triple H that saw him go under at Wrestlemania 31 on Sunday.
The match featured run-ins from DeGeneration X (Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, Bill Gunn & Sean “X-Pac” Walkman) and the new World order (”Hollywood” Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall) and told the story of the Monday Night War of WCW coming head to head with WWE on the grand stage that is Wrestlemania.

WWE won the war and here’s how it finished:
As someone told me, Sting was doomed in this one the moment he was labeled the WCW guy. The bout was good and the story was nostalgic but is there any money left in Sting after this? It was WWE’s reminder they’re still king 14 years later and this seemed like a way to put Sting out to pasture. Richard Reacts: This explains a lot. The reason so little was told in the build to Triple H vs. Sting is there wasn't a story to tell because it was already told. This had nothing to do with The Authority or Sting coming to end them once and for all. This was the WCW guy finally coming to have his moment and being allowed to do so by losing with grace. I get the story and appreciate the nostalgia, but I don't see much left for the Stinger.
