Richard Gray reported last night exclusively here on Wrestling News World that all signs pointed to Bill Goldberg agreeing to a deal with WWE to remain on past Survivor Series, hence him mowing through Brock Lesnar in the main event of last night’s pay-per-view. Shortly thereafter the folks over at Pro Wrestling Sheet reported Goldberg is set to work January’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view but no other specifics are known at press time.
We’re still gathering information but it’s clear Vince McMahon and Goldberg were able to hammer out an extension, one they had been discussing over the course of the last 10 days or so. It was Vince that made the decision to do the abbreviated match as a way to generate a buzz and help re-establish Goldberg as a dominant force.
