Goldberg squashed Brock Lesnar in the main event of WWE Survivor Series on Sunday night. Since the match was so short, here it is directly from our live stream:

“Fantasy Warfare" Mega Match
Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg

Both men square up right away before the bell. When the bell does ring, Lesnar grabs Goldberg and drives him into the corner. Goldberg is unfazed, shoving Lesnar to his back. Goldberg connects with an immediate spear. Goldberg hits a second spear right off the bat. Goldberg stands over Brock in an impressive sight while the crowd chants his name. Goldberg waits for Lesnar to stand and he gets Lesnar up and over with a jackhammer. Goldberg pins Lesnar for three.

Winner: Bill Goldberg

The crowd is loving this, still chanting 'Goldberg'. Goldberg rolls out of the ring and has some words with his wife and son before heading off toward the back.

Goldberg hops back into the ring and his son leaps in with him. For some reason, Goldberg's son is shirtless in a show of solidarity with his dad. The show ends with Goldberg heading off toward the back, and Brock Lesnar nowhere to be seen.

The main event drew instant criticism from fans, wondering the reason for Goldberg to mow through Lesnar so quick, especially considering how many resources have been spent on establishing Brock as the unstoppable beast.

A big hangup in Goldberg ever agreeing to return to WWE is that he didn't want to come back only to lose. WWE had little reason to put him over because he had only agreed to work Survivor Series but we heard over the last week and a half that he had begun to have discussions with the company about doing another match. Shortly before showtime, Goldberg emerged as a strong favorite to beat Brock Lesnar when he had been a strong underdog. That was our first clue that Goldberg and Vince McMahon had agreed to a deal that would keep him with the company for at least one more match.

The official match time for Goldberg vs. Lesnar II at Survivor Series was 1:25 and while the Internet is going crazy, this was a gutsy call made by Vince McMahon. Expect a big followup on Raw and we'll be shocked if there isn't a rematch.
