WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt has the same reaction to the lawsuit filed by Luther Reigns, Ryan Sakoda and Big Russ McCullough as he’s had to other ones like it. It’s full of fraudulent claims and WWE will fight back.
With this suit in particular, the focus isn’t even particularly on the plaintiffs but about other wrestlers such as Chris Benoit..
"It's sensational, but if you really look at ... what was done specifically to them?" McDevitt told TMZ. "There are almost no details as to what they actually suffered as a result of working with WWE."

Richard Reacts: I don’t really disagree with anything Jerry McDevitt is saying here, my problem is more with the hypocrisy. WWE comes out swinging against lawsuits like this but their own ringside physician Chris Amann filed a fairly bizarre/frivolous lawsuit himself. Remember, he’s the guy suing CM Punk AND Colt Cabana for defamation over comments made on a podcast, where a particular focus wasn’t even put on him. WWE thought enough of that lawsuit to publicly back it and offer their full support. Amann is still employed by WWE and is arguably putting more attention on himself by filing the lawsuit in the first place. And how can Cabana — the interviewer — be listed as a plaintiff?
