WWE Hall of Famer and former Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura, recently spoke with the Star Tribune about his life in politics. The article notes that Ventura has been open to running as Vice President of the United States with Donald Trump, but there has been no contact from the Trump party. Although he isn’t affiliated with a political party, he discussed the idea of running for President.
“I would challenge the American people to make history with me, and elect the first president since George Washington, the father of our country, who does not belong to a political party,” Ventura said.
As for another run for Governor, Ventura would only say,
“People come up to me every day and tell me to run for governor.”
Although the talk existed, the Hall of Famer said it was unlikely, and noted that he keeps himself plenty busy since his retirement.
“Now you see what I do in my retirement. Play golf and work out. Write a book once a year. And do my Internet show.”
