Jim Ross

Jim Ross, who is celebrating his 63rd birthday today, is making headlines for a tweet that he made on Satruday. The Pittsburgh Pirates are currently looking for a new play-by-play announcer since Tim Neverett left the club in the offseason to call games for the Boston Red Sox. JR tweeted, “I'd relocate to Pittsburgh to broadcast @Pirates baseball.”

Ross, who is a legendary professional wrestling play-by-play man, called games for the XFL during its one and only season. It’s unlikely he lands the Pirates job but it’s still interesting nonetheless.
