John Cena helped SNL reverse its downturn in ratings following the 2016 United States Presidential election.
Deadline.com reports that Saturday’s show drew a 4.8 Live+same day rating in the metered market households and a 2.3 in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters.
That was good enough for the best rating since the first episode after the '16 Presidential election, which was on November 12, 2016 and hosted by Dave Chapelle. It was also up from last week’s episode, hosted by Emma Stone, which did (4.4, 2.1).
