John Cena’sAmerican Grit has been renewed by Fox for a second season.
The non-WWE project with Leftfield Pictures is executive produced and hosted by Cena. The first season featured 16 contestants who did a series of challenges that tested strength, willpower and teamwork. The only way out of the competition was to give up, with only one man and one woman left standing by the end.
Mark “The Lumberjack” Bouquin and Clare “The Fisherman” Painter won season one that finished in June. Casting has already begun for next season. If interested, go to FindYourStrengthCasting.com.
Cena missed time from WWE for the filming of season one and I would imagine he’ll have to miss time for season two. The company has been good about working with his schedule to give him time off for outside projects so I don’t see it being an issue.
