While we believe WWE would still be interested in having Ronda Rousey, at least one former personality believes it will never happen following her lopsided defeat to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Friday night.

Enter Jonathan Coachman, who now works for ESPN, who tweeted the following:

What Coachman is failing to consider is the case of Brock Lesnar.

Not only did Lesnar return to WWE as one of their top stars after consecutive UFC losses to Cain Velasquez and 5–3 Alistair Overeem in the UFC but they even used him in a main event capacity at SummerSlam when it was clear he had failed multiple drug tests.

While Lesnar's losses were ultimately chalked up to diverticulitis, one could make the case that he came back 'broken' following losing the UFC heavyweight championship and his fight after that. Vince McMahon originally fed him to John Cena but reset and gave him one of the biggest pushes in WWE history by having him as the Superstar to break The Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania.
