Kaitlyn Gone From WWE

Publish date:

WWE announced Wednesday here on dot com that Kaitlyn will "no longer be under contract" with the company. They report she has "chosen to pursue other endeavors outside of the sports-entertainment world."

The news is surprising for a couple of reasons. Kaitlyn taped a match against WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee that will air on this week's episode of Main Event on Tuesday from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You can view a photo Tweeted to me below:

Further, there has been a "no fire" edict in place where WWE has not wanted to acknowledge main roster releases unless what the person does is so egregious it's basically unavoidable. This is believed to be the reason why WWE hasn't cut ties with Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde - the original Sin Cara. 10:44 AM EST January 8, 2014 Update: Based on comments from Kaitlyn, she quit WWE thus the "no fire" edict remains in tact. That clears up the latter surprise of this. End update.
