- WWE announced through a mobile alert that Triple H has "appointed" Kane the new "Director of Operations" of the company. This is a lead-in to this week's kayfabe Michael Cole interview with Hunter online now here at dot com. Obviously the role is part of Kane's new role with the corporation faction.

- Jonathan Coachman filled in for Colin Cowherd on "The Herd" Wednesday on ESPN Radio. In a segment with Mike Golic where they were discussing the Richie Incognito/Jonathan Martin incident, Coach briefly spoke about incidents in the WWE locker room. Coach mentioned there were some people that others had to "standup for themselves" in front of others but didn't elaborate.

- Xavier Woods beat El Local (the masked luchador gimmick of Ricardo Rodriguez) prior to Tuesday's WWE Main Event/Smackdown taping in Charlotte, North Carolina.

- "The Call" was nominated for Favorite Thriller Movie in the People's Choice Awards 2014. The film, considered to be the first hit under the new strategy of WWE Studios, starred Halle Berry with David Otunga in a supporting role. The People's Choice Awards air on CBS on January 8, 2014.
