The NBC affiliate out of the state of Connecticut has confirmed that Linda McMahon is under consideration to become Secretary of Commerce in the administration of President-elect Donald Trump. You can read their coverage at this link.
We broke the news here on Wrestling News World that McMahon would likely have a role in the administration before it was learned the position would be in the Commerce Department. There will be a vetting process and nothing is official until it is announced.
McMahon, who left WWE to pursue a career in politics, has remained politically active since losing bids to get a seat on the United States Senate as a Republican out of the state of Connecticut in 2010 and 2012. She donated heavily to a Donald Trump Super-Pac and her and Vince remain close with the Trump family.
Trump, a 2013 WWE Hall of Famer, was elected President of the United States last week. He'll be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States next year.
