Welcome to the 2016 WWE Hell in a Cell Kickoff!

Renee Young welcomes us to the panel alongside Lita, Jerry Lawler, and Booker T. Renee also welcomes Tom Phillips in the Social Media Lounge. Tom invites us to use #HIAC to join the discussion. He announces that The New Day will be joining him for a live Q&A later during the Kickoff, so use #AskNewDay to send in questions.

Back at the panel, Renee previews the United States Championship Match between Roman Reigns & Rusev. Booker says the champion always has the advantage going into the match. In addition, Reigns has already been in Hell in a Cell, whereas Rusev has not. Jerry says experience is important, but in this case, it won't make a lot of difference, because of the personal attacks Reigns has made on Rusev and Lana. Lita reminds them to not count Lana out just because she'll be outside the cell tonight. Booker picks Roman to retain. Jerry and Lita pick Rusev to win.

Bayley then joins the Kickoff panel, and Renee brings up her issues with Dana Brooke. Bayley says she doesn't know Dana's problem, but it might be jealousy or orders from Charlotte. Lita asks how Bayley can move past Dana tonight. Bayley says Dana made it personal two weeks ago when she tried to injure her. She's here for the Women's Championship, but she has to defeat Dana first. Renee brings up Bayley's taped up shoulder, and Bayley reassures her that she has been cleared by doctors. Booker asks if Bayley thinks she's a role model, and Bayley says that's been her goal since day one. Renee asks what it means to see Sasha and Charlotte in the cell tonight. Bayley says she couldn't be more proud, but she'll be waiting in line for whoever wins tonight.

The conversation moves to Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Lita picks Enzo & Cass to win, but Booker and Jerry disagree.

Up next is discussion on Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship. We get a shot of the cell hanging over the ring. Lita says we've seen Seth overcome adversity before, and he does have the experience edge, but it's going to be a brutal match. Jerry says he was impressed with Rollins overcoming the odds in recent weeks. Booker says Chris Jericho is a good friend, as is Kevin Owens, and when you're friends like that, you don't turn on each other. Therefore, Booker says Jericho won't be involved tonight, and says Owens will retain. Jerry and Lita pick Rollins to win.

Backstage, Brian Kendrick approaches TJ Perkins. Kendrick says he knows how much this means to him. He needs this. TJ stops him and says he has a lot on the line tonight, too. They represent the future, and it's not just about Kendrick. Kendrick says he's worried about their friendship, and TJ can save their friendship by helping him out tonight and doing the right thing. TJ says to go out there and be the Brian Kendrick he used to know.

Back at the panel, Rich Swann joins the panelists. Booker says TJ seems a little soft to him. Rich says there were 32 people in the Cruiserweight Classic, and they all busted their tails to get where they are. It's disrespectful to the division for Kendrick to go to TJ and grovel. Rich says Kendrick has lost his confidence, and it's not the same guy we used to watch. Booker asks if he thinks he can dance his way to the top of the division. Rich says there ain't no party like a Rich Swann party. Renee asks if he could teach her a dance move or two. Rich's theme starts playing as everyone but Jerry starts dancing.

Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves are at the announce table as we get our first match of the night.

Sin Cara, Cedric Alexander & Lince Dorado vs. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari

Sin Cara and Nese start in the ring. Nese lands a shoulder block and leap frogs over Sin Cara, who lands a springboard arm drag. Nese reels in the corner and gets his feet up, sending Sin Cara back. Sin Cara lands a monkey flip but Nese lands on his feet. Nese jumps from the second rope but Sin Cara catches him and hits a backbreaker. Gulak runs into the ring, into a backbreaker. Daivari gets the same when he tags in. Daivari takes control with a neckbreaker after Gulak provides a distraction. Daivari applies a headlock, but Sin Cara gets to his feet and lands a springboard moonsault. Both get tags as Dorado and Nese come in. Dorado lands a flying crossbody and a running hurricanrana. A back elbow and a spinning heel kick takes Nese down as Dorado climbs to the top rope. He hits a shooting star press, but the heel team breaks it up. The faces clear the ring as Dorado climbs the top rope again. Nese dodges and Dorado rolls through, but walks into a deadlift suplex, sending Dorado to the outside, crashing onto his partners.

Daivari whips Dorado, takes him down and applies a kneebar as Gulak tags in. Gulak applies another submission hold in the center of the ring. Nese tags back in and Dorado fights to his feet, but Nese trips Dorado before landing a springboard moonsault. Gulak tags back in. Dorado lands a quick hurricanrana before tagging in Cedric. He lands a back elbow and a handspring roundhouse kick. The face team gets into the ring and they all land topes on the three members of the heel team. Cedric then attempts a springboard move to Gulak, who made his way back into the ring. Gulak dodges and applies a dragon sleeper, applying a grapevine with his legs. Dorado breaks it up, but Daivari knocks Dorado out of the ring with a superkick. Sin Cara lands a deadlift powerbomb before Nese lands a gutwrench inverted slam. Cedric lands a press from the top rope, but Gulak attempts a quick roll-up. Gulak charges and Cedric hits the Lumbar Check for the win.

Winners: Sin Cara, Cedric Alexander, and Lince Dorado

The New Day joins Tom Phillips in the Social Media Lounge. The first question asks what makes them such a strong tag team in and out of the ring. Big E says they lift. Xavier flexes and they ask why Tom is laughing. The next question asks what their favorite video game and what they're looking forward to playing. Xavier says Mario Kart: Double Dash, and he's looking forward to everything coming out. The next question asks how they're going to beat Cesaro and Sheamus. Kofi says "by pinfall or submission." The last question asks how they determine which two guys compete in a title match. Kofi says it would defeat the purpose if they gave away their strategy. Their opponents can't prepare for them if they keep their strategy a secret.

The conversation moves to the Women's Championship Match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte. Lita says it's a huge night for the women's division. Booker says this is his Shucky Ducky Quack Quack Moment of the Night. He says these women are the best in the business, and the cell is coming down tonight! Jerry says these women should've listened to Mick Foley, and should think about what they're getting into tonight. Booker and Jerry pick Charlotte to win. Lita picks Sasha Banks to retain. The cell starts to descend as the Kickoff ends.
