WWE announced on Sunday they’re bringing King of the Ring back, airing Tuesday night at 8 PM EDT on the “award winning” WWE Network.
The tournament-style event will actually begin on tonight’s Monday Night Raw from Green Bay, Wisconsin, as announced earlier by WWE. The finals will broadcast live tomorrow night on the WWE Network from Moline, Illinois.
It’s a big week for the WWE Network, as CJ noted, but it’s an influx of programming WWE is hoping will carry new subscriptions into the summer months. Investors were concerned the WWE Network had peaked for the year at 1.3 million subscribers after Wrestlemania 31. WWE is hoping to be able to at least maintain the growth with the introduction of the new programs.
