The state of New Jersey will miss out on revenue brought in from SummerSlam 2015 as the show will take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. WWE officially made the announcement on Thursday morning, as we reported here on Wrestling News World. The plan was for WWE to promote SummerSlam’s return to the East Coast being from NY/NJ with the actual show emanating from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. You can see the logo that was set to be used below: The event had to be moved due to the closure of the IZOD Center and local officials were hoping to move it to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The location of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. SummerSlam returns to the East Coast following six years in Los Angles. New York has previously played host to SummerSlam in 1988, 1991, 1998 and 2002.
