NXT TakeOver: The End Results (6/8/16)

The show opens with a video package. We see the beginning of NXT featuring Seth Rollins, Paige, and The Wyatt Family. They have found success on the main roster. We see footage of Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks. All good things come to an end... it is inevitable. We see Asuka beat Bayley and Joe beat Balor. Tonight, the beginning will end, and the end will begin. A new chapter begins, opportunity awaits. Tonight - the end is here; the end of the beginning.

Tom Phillips welcomes us to the show as Corey Graves joins him on commentary.

Tye Dillinger makes his way to the ring to a pop. The debuting Andrade "Cien" Almas enters next wearing a white hat, white suspenders, and white pants.

Cien takes off the white pants to reveal his blue tights. Tye does a waist lock take down. Tye rolls Cien up and proceeds to chant "ten" in his face. Almas gets out of an arm lock using the ropes. The two men dodge each other's moves until Almas dropkicks Tye. Almas does a hurricanrana, sending Tye out of the ring. Almas goes to jump but hangs up in the ropes to pose.

Almas shows off in the corner and flips back in the ring. Tye does a tilt a whirl backbreaker into a cover, one. Tye places Almas up top. Almas elbows Tye down. Almas does a backflip followed by another rotation to catch Tye, nearfall. Almas poses upside down in the corner, but Tye kicks him right in the face, nearfall. Tye exposes his right knee, lifts Almas, but Cien escapes. Tye manages an elbow out of the corner. Almas does a backflip with double knees to take Tye out. Almas runs into Tye in the corner with double knees. Almas covers for the win.

Winner: Andrade "Cien" Almas - by pinfall (5:20)

Phillips reminds us Triple H will be on Facebook Live right after the show to speak for the first time since WrestleMania 32. We then see Nia Jax warming up backstage.

A video package highlighting American Alpha beating The Revival in Dallas airs.

Dash & Dawson make their way to the ring first. NXT Tag Team Champions Jason Jordan & Chad Gable enter last.

NXT Tag Team Championship: American Alpha (c) vs. The Revival

Dawson and Gable start the match by locking hands. Dawson pulls Gable over to Dash for a tag. Dash and Gable reset with a lock up. Dash clamps down on Gable, shoving him to the mat. Dawson tags in to chop Gable in the corner. Gable fires back with right hand shots. Gable eats a shoulderblock, then another, cover. Gable takes Dawson down with an arm drag, followed by a couple awesome take downs with his legs. Jordan tags in and the faces clear the ring.

Jordan covers Dawson then locks his left arm up on the mat. Both teams meet in the middle of the ring and duke it out. The Revival rolls out and gets back in. American Alpha counter back drops to apply double ankle locks. The Revival once again rolls out as the crowd goes crazy for Alpha. Jordan is tripped by Dash. Jordan manages to suplex him into a cover. Gable works the left arm after being tagged. Dash tries to illegally tag in. Dawson is taken down with a backslide.

Gable spills out after taking an uppercut. Dawson and Dash work on Jordan together until Gable comes in with a crossbody. Alpha does double dropkicks and clotheslines out of the ring to take Revival back down. The crowd pops huge. Gable drops Dawson; Dawson returns the favor with a flapjack into the ropes. Dash tags in and the heels double team with strikes in their corner.

Dawson comes back in with an elbow drop, cover on Chad. Dawson works the left arm to slow the pace. Gable is slammed to prevent a tag. Gable dodges an elbow drop and takes Dash off the apron. Gable rolls Dawson up, two. Dawson catches Gable with a spinebuster to prevent the tag. Dash tags in with an uppercut. Dash continues working the left arm on the mat. Gable pulls out an arm bar on the ropes. Dawson tags in as Gable is outside the ring. Dawson wipes Gable out to stop a tag.

Gable finally reaches Jordan. Jordan clotheslines and dropkicks Dash and Dawson. Suplexes are hit and bodies are flying as the straps come down. Spear to Dash, followed by a suplex and cover. Jordan is tripped into the middle turnbuckle. Dawson tags in and rolls Jordan up for a nearfall as Dash takes out Gable. Dawson uppercuts Jordan a few times. Jordan tags Gable. Gable does a German as Jordan dropkicks Dawson. Gable covers for two.

Dash takes Gable off the apron. Gable puts Dawson in the ankle lock, but Dawson kicks Gable into an uppercut from Dash. Dawson rolls him up, no luck. The Revival has Gable up, but Gable hits Dawson with a belly to belly mid air. Jordan spears Dash. Gable is taken out. The Revival hits the Shatter Machine on Jordan for the three.

Winners & NEW NXT Tag Team Champions: The Revival - by pinfall (15:40)

Full Sail is shocked and so am I. American Alpha tries to recover in the ring as The Revival celebrates. Two men hit the ring to attack Jordan and Gable. They are quite large and wearing black. They manage to hit a sidewalk slam, running boot combo on Gable, followed by a clothesline to Jordan.

Paul Ellering, WWE Hall of Famer and manager of The Road Warriors, walks out to stare at the ring. The two men stand by Ellering's side and the three stare at the camera before walking to the back. The two men are known as The Authors of Pain and have worked NXT live events before.


Asuka is shown warming up backstage. Bayley walks up and the two shake hands.

We see a video package on Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Austin Aries makes his way out first with his ribs taped up. Phillips & Graves speculate why Aries has his ribs taped up. Shinsuke Nakamura enters next.

The crowd is still singing Nakamura's theme when the bell rings. The two stare at each other as dueling chants sound. Nakamura tries to lock Aries up, but Aries manages to get the first cover as the two split away. Lock up, Aries works the left arm. Nakamura does a flip to reverse the hold. Aries manages to do a headlock take down. They dodge each others moves and meet in the middle again.

Nakamura takes Aries to the ropes and Nakamura touches Austin's tape awkwardly until Aries shoves him. Aries hits a low dropkick. Nakamura slips out of Last Chancery; Aries mocks Nakamura's taunting. Aries shoves Nakamura, prompting Nakamura to viciously knee and strikes Aries. Nakamura kicks the crap out of Aries in the corner. Aries wipes out Nakamura's knee to slow him down.

Nakamura is thrown into the top turnbuckle. Aries props the left knee in the ropes to kick it. Aries hits a jumping elbow from the ropes to the neck. Aries applies a chinlock in the middle of the ring. Nakamura runs into a running knee. Aries tries for the senton, but Nakamura gets his knees up. Nakamura gets to his feet for elbow strikes. Aries counters with his own elbow out of the corner.

Aries does another elbow drop from the top, cover. Aries works the back/neck area of Nakamura with strikes, cover. Nakamura gets to his feet to take Aries out with kicks and strikes. Nakamura connects with the running corner knee to the taped up ribs. Nakamura counters the rolling elbow with a knee. Aries rolls him up for two. Aries attempts Last Chancery, but Nakamura gets to his feet. Aries nails the rolling elbow, allowing Nakamura to fall out of the ring.

Aries flies out of the ring into the barricade with Nakamura. Aries covers Nakamura for a very close nearfall. Nakamura grabs Aries out of nowhere to lock in the Triangle. Aries reaches the bottom rope with his leg. Nakamura viciously knees Aries in the neck. Aries dodges Kinshasa and drops Aries with a suplex. Aries applies Last Chancery. Nakamura reaches the bottom rope with his leg.

Nakamura kicks Aries into the corner. Aries follows it with a hurricanrana and corner dropkick. Aries goes up top for the 450, but rolls through. Nakamura misses the corner knee; Aries counters with the clap to the ears. The two men slug it out on the apron, leading to an enziguri from Nakamura. Aries catches Nakamura and drops him with a Death Valley Driver. Nakamura falls to the ground as Aries rolls back in. Nakamura dodges Aries, Austin flies into the barricade itself.

Nakamura connects with a dropkick from the second rope. Exploder suplex follows. Nakamura hits another Kinshasa for the win!

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura - by pinfall (17:04)

Nakamura celebrates in the ring as replays air and the commentators recover. Graves & Phillips mention tickets will soon be on sale for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

We see a video package on Asuka and Nia Jax.

Nia Jax makes her way out first. Women's Champion Asuka enters next.

NXT Women's Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax

Jax grabs the right hand of Asuka as Asuka tries to focus on the legs. Asuka has a waist lock applied. Asuka rolls through and kicks at Jax. They stare at each other before Asuka briefly works the left arm. Jax tosses Asuka across the ring, literally. Asuka gets cornered, but she dropkicks using the turnbuckle. It doesn't work as Jax catches Asuka with clubs. Jax rubs her forearm across the face.

Asuka applies the octopus in the middle of the ring. Jax slams Asuka on her right knee, cover. Jax continues to work little things to keep Asuka down. Jax stretches Asuka cross her right knee. Asuka applies the guillotine, like Bayley. Jax slams her, cover. Asuka tries to lock up the left arm. Asuka gets Jax in a Triangle. Jax lifts Asuka and drops her against the turnbuckle. Jax stretches Asuka's body across the ring post.

Jax catches Asuka with a bear hug in the middle of the ring. Asuka applies a knee bar once she breaks free. Jax reaches the second rope. Asuka kicks Jax, but Jax plants her with a spinebuster. Asuka dodges the leg drop, follows it with a sliding knee. Both women are down for a few seconds. Asuka is whipped into the corner, where she fires back with a missile dropkick. Asuka unloads with incredible back hands and a running hip attack.

Asuka tries to summon the fighting spirit, but Jax drops her with a powerbomb, cover. Asuka applies an arm bar out of nowhere. Asuka can't get her lock quite in. Asuka kicks Jax in the head twice before a third one and a running fourth. Asuka pins for the three.

Earlier today - William Regal is interviewed about tonight's show. He hypes Balor vs. Joe as we see Bobby Roode walking past behind him. An agent whispers in Regal's ear, leading to Regal excusing himself and entering the room Roode just walked in.

We see a video package on Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor as the steel cage is being lowered. After the video, former NXT Champion Neville is shown sitting in the crowd.

The Demon Finn Balor makes his way out first. Champion Samoa Joe enters last, slamming the cage door behind him.

Steel Cage NXT Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Finn Balor

Joe throws punches before Balor ducks a clothesline. Joe runs towards the door, but Balor grabs him. They slug it out in the middle of the ring. Balor connects with a dropkick. Joe saves himself from being tossed into the cage. Joe chops Balor. Joe holds Balor in the corner by the door. Balor runs the ropes and hits a forearm to the face. Balor chops Joe by the door, and then again across the ring.

Joe goes up top, where Balor kicks across the head. Joe tosses Balor into the cage, and then again on the opposite side. Joe nails an enziguri in the corner. Joe stomps on Finn, follows it with a running boot across the face. Joe lays Balor out for a pin, two. Joe sends Balor flying into the steel again. Joe tries to leave, but Balor grabs the right leg. Finn manages to get ahead of Joe. Joe manages to pull Balor back in for a German suplex, cover. Both men are standing on the top rope but fall when Joe hits an enziguri. Joe covers for two.

Joe chops Finn again. Joe runs full steam ahead right into the steel wall. Balor chops Joe as Joe stands trapped between the cage and ropes. Joe ducks the third chop. Balor gets out of the clutch to nail a dropkick. Balor climbs over Joe, but Joe pulls him down. Joe gets kicked and hits the ropes to make Balor fall. Both men are down briefly. Joe grabs Balor for the Muscle Buster. Balor rolls through into a cover, nearfall.

Both men trade shots until Balor connects with a pelee kick. Both are down again, with Balor reaching his feet first. Balor climbs the wall again, but Joe follows. They stand on the top rope chopping each other. Balor nails the sling blade from the top. Balor covers, two. Balor hits another sling blade, but Joe dodges the corner dropkick to hit a senton. Joe nails the Muscle Buster for a nearfall.

Joe unloads with kicks the chest. Joe lifts Balor and tries for the crucifix into the cage. Balor sends Joe against the cage twice before hitting the sling blade and corner dropkick twice. Balor connects with Coup de Grace, nearfall. Balor attempts 1916, but Joe counters with the standing clutch. Balor flips out of the corner and hits a double foot stomp. Balor looks to the top of the cage... and that's where he tries to go until Joe tugs at him. Balor kicks him off and continues to climb. Joe gets on the turnbuckle.

Balor's legs are dangling as Joe tries to pull him back in. Joe slams Balor's head against the cage. Joe lifts Finn up and hits the Muscle Buster from the top rope for the win.

Winner & STILL NXT Champion: Samoa Joe - by pinfall (16:11)

We see several replays as both men are still down on the mat. Joe tries to stand as the cage is raised. Joe raises the title on the ramp as refs and trainers check on Balor in the ring.
