Our top story on Tuesday was that Samoa Joe has officially ended his near-decade run in TNA Wrestling after failing to come to terms on a new contract. While Joe will be 36 years old next month, which makes WWE signing him unlikely, it hasn't stopped the masses (including me) from encouraging Triple H to make the phone call.
Paul Heyman Tweeted this:
Joe was criminally underutilized in his latter days in TNA, with silly over the top gimmicks that failed to highlight his abilities. Joe was responsible for some of TNA's biggest pay-per-view buyrates in the company's history with Genesis 2006 and Lockdown 2008.
By all accounts, he and AJ Styles should have been the focal point of the promotion but were repeatedly mishandled by TNA's dysfunctional management and directionless creative team.
