John Cena

Vince McMahon has spent the majority of the past year planning on doing John Cena vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 33 in April. This is a bout he’s desired for many years and is one of the biggest matches he feels Undertaker has left. But in typical fashion, he’s reportedly changed his mind.

Reports attributed to the’s Dave Meltzer claim Vince has changed his mind and will go in a different direction.

As for what direction he will go, that's up in the air and depends on who you ask. We reported here on Wrestling News World Premium that Vince intentionally teased Undertaker vs. Braun Strowman to have it as an option. At the time, we believed the plan was still to do Undertaker vs. Cena at Wrestlemania so we weren’t expecting that bout to happen at the show in April but it’s certainly now a possibility.

The rumored plans for the 30-man Royal Rumble match could also play into the decision.

Another interesting name is that of Finn Balor. WWE is hoping to have Balor back by Wrestlemania 33 and there are some people that believe he could get hot-shotted in a return program with The Deadman.

Other top bouts that we recapped here on WNW Premium are still in tact and expected to happen at the show and those include Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins vs. Triple H.

We’ll be updating on The Rock’s status shortly.

Wrestlemania 33 will take place on Sunday, April 4, 2017 from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
