While WWE officials were hoping for the best and fearing the worst, the latest word is that Reigns will be out of action for several months.
Reigns was rushed to a Nashville, TN hospital on Saturday where he underwent emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia. The surgery was performed by Dr. Haile M Mezghebe, who was kind enough to provide WWE an update that they featured on the WWE Network. Reigns was pulled from all WWE storylines indefinitely as a result of the surgery, including making him unavailable for Sunday's Night of Champions pay-per-view.
We posted more on the health of Reigns in our Backstage News from Night of Champions.
