It’s looking more and more like Ryback could be ending his run with WWE. He was pulled from a battle royal for the No. 1 contendership for the WWE United States Championship on this week’s Raw due to a contract dispute, according to a report by PWInsider. We’re told he’s finished for now as the two parties have been unable to come to terms on a new deal.
While doing media in Dubai last month, Ryback vented on his role in WWE and seemed to tease his exit. He’s got a fairly extensive history of saying he wants to be booked as a top guy but has had trouble establishing himself as anything more than a mid-card talent.
Ryback wasn’t the only talent advertised for Monday’s battle royal that didn’t work as Heat Slater and Jack Swagger were also advertised but did not compete.
