We’ve had some readers upset about Scott Hall canceling two scheduled appearances in Ireland — one on May 17, 2016 and one scheduled for today, May 18, 2016. While we usually don’t cover the independent drama between wrestlers and promoters, I had someone tweet me about it and wanted to provide Scott’s side of the story.
Hall’s manager, Zak Bevis, wrote this on Facebook:
I wanna set something straight! Scott Hall was due in Ireland this week. The promoter who booked him refused to pay towards his flight to England and went behind my back to book him.. with this knowledge Scott has decided that we WILL NOT be going to Ireland as he can’t trust his pay cheque will be there and the fact that they tried to mug off us who are his friends!!
Scott is a reformed guy and loves this business and has done nothing but respect our company and done his best to make us a bigger and better company.
Hall noted his “mental health and sobriety” were more important than being involved in “some BS.”
