- It appears Smackdown Live Star, Sin Cara, is dealing with an knee injury. He posted to his twitter with a picture of himself and a doctor in Birmingham, Alabama hinting at an injury. Later, Sin Cara posted a picture after surgery, and labeling it as his first day of recovery. He was last seen on television in a match against Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.
- IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, has been vocal in the past about not working in the United States for different companies other than WWE.
Everyone was shocked to say the least when Jericho came to New Japan Pro Wrestling, to work at Wrestle Kingdom this past year and then go on Dominion to win the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. Jericho took to Twitter today to say in 2019, he will become a free agent.
This is leading to huge speculation on the relationship between Jericho and WWE because it seems like Jericho is becoming more open to working with more companies in the United States if the price is right.
Ryan’s Take: This could lead to something huge, or nothing at all. Jericho loves to swerve fans. With all the speculation of him interested in working with Impact and other companies, it wouldn’t surprise me if he went that route if he was being paid major money. If WWE wanted to keep him away from all of that, a big paycheck will be heading in Jericho’s way.
