Good evening once again wrestling world! Tonight’s Smackdown comes to us live from New Orleans, the home of last year’s WrestleMania. After the Elimination Chamber event, we will find out who will be the new number one contender to Daniel Bryan’s WWE Championship. Also, we will find out what Charlotte Flair will have to say after the brutal attack she suffered from the hands of Becky Lynch. All this, and more in the coming moments!

We kickoff the show with the former commissioner, Shane McMahon making his way to the ring. In the ring, Shane says that the same four NXT superstars from Raw will be on tonight’s episode of Smackdown. Before he can say anymore, The Miz interrupts McMahon. Miz recaps how he lost the Smackdown tag team titles for them. He says that it has been on his mind since they lost the belts. Miz says that he has a confession to make, and that is that he used Shane McMahon. He says they share mutual feelings about their fathers, and that is what made him use him.

Miz goes on to say that he let Shane down at Elimination Chamber. He apologizes and asks Shane if he would be able to schedule another tag team match against the Usos. They are interrupted by the new tag team champions.

The Usos come out and reiterate how they know that there is no automatic rematch clause, but they say they will give the team one more shot at their titles. The Usos say that they know McMahon won’t take the match because McMahon knows that the Miz is a fraud. After a number of insults from the Usos, McMahon interrupts and accepts the rematch from the Usos.

Aleister Black makes his way to the ring. When we return, Black will make his Smackdown Live debut against a familiar foe in Andrade! (Commercial)

Aleister Black vs. Andrade

The bell rings and the two are meet with “NXT” chants from the crowd. They lock up and immediately begin to trade quick takedowns and pinfalls. A huge chop to the chest sends Black to the ground, which allows Andrade to stomp him into the mat. Andrade begins to take control, delivering a huge chop to the chest of his foe in the corner of the ring. He whips Black into the corner and attempts running knee, but Black avoids the strike. This sends Andrade to the outside of the ring. It looks as if Black is going to deliver a splash to the outside of the ring, but he lands a springboard moonsault and taunts his opponent on the inside of the ring. (Commercial)

We come back as the match continues, and the two have traded control of thematch. The two trade blows in the middle of the ring, but Black begins to show the tremendous striking ability as he delivers a knee to the side of the head of Andrade. However, Andrade is able to halt the attack when he sends Black to the outside of the ring. Andrade gets Black into the ring, and attempts a Hammerlock ddt, but Black battles out of it and again goes on the attack. A huge german suplex caps off a flurry of attacks by Black. Andrade is able to battle back, though, and deliver double knees to the face of Black in the corner of the ring. Andrade picks Black up and goes for the Hammerlock ddt, but Black fights out of it and delivers a huge Black Mass. Black is able to pin Andrade in the middle of the ring for the pinfall victory. Aleister Black wins

Backstage, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are asked if they think that they are able to continue their momentum from Raw. Ciampa says that he earned everything he has achieved and he thrives in the spotlight. They are interrupted by The Bar, who says no one knows who the two are. He tells them to go back t wherever they came from. Gargano tells them that they are there to “break the bar.”

Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy, and AJ Styles are backstage as they agree to be on the same page during their tag team match against Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, and Daniel Bryan. (Commercial)

The Bar vs Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano

We start the match with Sheamus and Ciampa in the ring. Sheamus backs his opponent in the ring, showing the advantage in strength. Ciampa is quickly able to show his speed as he delivers a couple of quick strikes that down the former WWE Champion. This forces Sheamus to make the tag to Cesaro and Gargano to tag in. The two trade a couple of holds, but Cesaro hits Gargano with a devastating european uppercut that sends him to the ground. Sheamus makes the tag, but Gargano is able to recover quickly as DIY goes on the attack. The action spills to the outside as Gargano delivers a suicide dive. However, The Bar end up manhandling the smaller opponents, as Cesaro delivers a backbreaker to Ciampa and Sheamus downs Gargano. (Commercial)

We come back as The Bar remains in control of the match. Cesaro has Ciampa in a side headlock on the ground. Ciampa is able to fight out of the side headlock momentarily with a jawbreaker, but Cesaro downs him with another european uppercut. Sheamus makes that tag and attacks Gargano in the corner. He proceeds to set up Ciampa for White Noise from the top rope. Ciampa is able to battle out and deliver a sunset flip powerbomb. Both men make the tag to their partners. Gargano goes on the attack, chopping away at The Bar. He is able to deliver a slingshot ddt to Cesaro on the inside of the ring. He continues to quicken the pace and is able to eventually lock in the Gargano Escape in the middle of the ring. Cesaro is able to break the submission with a huge backbreaker. Sheamus then delivers a knee from the top rope and Cesaro goes for the pin, but it’s broke up by Ciampa. Sheamus tags into the match and delivers an Irish Curse to Gargano. Gargano is able to kick out of another pin attempt. Sheamus’ anger gets the better of him, and this allows Gargano to fight back and tag in Ciampa. Ciampa is ultimately able to rollup Sheamus and gain the pinfall victory. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano win

We return as Asuka and Kayla Braxton in the ring. Braxton asks Asuka if she feels lost in the shuffle after the attention has been focused on the Raw’s Women’s Championship. She talks about has she has already beaten both women and she wants a new challenge. She is interrupted by Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

Rose tells Asuka that she is ready to accept the challenge.

Mandy Rose vs. Asuka

The match starts and Asuka is able to land a couple of quick kicks, followed by a dropkick. Their match is interrupted by Lacey Evans. She makes her way to the ring, but quickly leaves. Rose blindsides Asuka, shoving her into the ring post. Rose isn’t able to capitalize and has to retreat to the outside of the ring. When she comes back to the inside, she is able to down Asuka. However, Asuka quickly sends Rose right back to the outside of the ring. (Commercial)

The match continues as Rose has control of the match. However, Asuka is able to reverse an abdominal stretch into a kneebar, but Roseisable to get to the bottom rope and escape to the outside. Asuka chases Rose to the outside, but she ends up eating a running knee strike from Rose. Asuka is able to beat a ten count into the ring, but Rose begins to stomp her opponent into the ground. Rose stands Asuka up and begins to taunt her. This angers Asuka and she begins to unload onto Rose. She delivers a german suplex, followed by a shining wizard and delivers a pin. Rose is able to kick out of the pinfall. Asuka delivers a knee to the side of the head of Rose, and it appears to injure her. The distraction creates enough space for her to send Asuka into the top rope neck first. Rose is able to roll Asuka up and gain the pinfall victory. Mandy Rose wins

Backstage, Charlotte shows the bruises and scars suffered by the hands of Becky Lynch. She recaps how if Becky Breaks her suspension again, she will be prosecuted. She tells the WWE Universe to deal with the fact that she will be in the main event at WrestleMania.

Up next, Ricochet makes his Smackdown Live debut against Eric Young! (Commercial)

Ricochet vs. Eric Young

Ricochet takes control of the match early on as he is able to out wrestle Young in the beginning stages of the match. Two quick dropkicks send Young to the outside of the ring. When he reenters the ring, he continues the attack. He goes to the ring apron and looks to deliver a springboard onto Young. However, a distraction from Wolff allows Young to deliver a huge right hand to the jaw of Ricochet. Young begins to go on the attack, delivering a hanging sleeperhold from the top rope. He gets Ricochet into a side headlock on the mat. Ricochet begins to battle his way out, delivering a couple of blows before he is sent into the turnbuckle. He is able to avoid a forearm from Young, and begins to deliver multiple hurricanrana. He follows it with a springboard back elbow, followed by a standing shooting star press. Ricochet keeps the attack going with a dropkick that sends Young to the outside again. Ricochet takes out Young and Dain on the outside of the ring. He brings Young back into the ring and is able to deliver a 630 splash. Ricochet is able to pin Eric Young in the middle of the ring. Ricochet wins

Backstage, Xavier Woods and Big E tell the WWE Universe that Kofi Kingston’s surge has been eleven years in the making. Kingston says that he will continue to ride his wave of momentum. (Commercial)

Kofi Kingston, AJ Styles, & Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe, Randy Orton, & Daniel Bryan

Before the match begins, Bryan grabs a microphone and says that nobody wanted him to hold onto to his championship, but he survived the Elimination Chamber and retained his title. Bryan also says that his opponent at Fastlane won’t be any of the men in the match tonight because he defeated all of them in the Elimination Chamber. (Commercial)

When we come back from the break, and the match has just begun. Kingston and Joe square off in the middle of the ring. Kingston is able to quickly land a dropkick from the turnbuckle onto Joe. Hardy is able to tag into the match and goes onto the attack of Joe. He attempts a Twist of Fate, but Joe reverses and send Hardy face first into the mat. Orton is able to tag into the match and begins to stomp the midsection of Hardy in the corner. Bryan tags himself into the match and begins to deliver kicks to the chest of Hardy. The team continues to make quick tags, as Orton tags himself into the match and puts Hardy into a headlock. Hardy is able to fight out and deliver a sit down jawbreaker. Kingston is able to tag back into the match and deliver a flurry of clotheslines to Orton. He’s able to end the attack with a Boom Drop. Bryan attempts to attack Kingston, but Kingston is able to sidestep and send Bryan to the outside as Orton slips to the outside. Kingston goes to the top rope to attempt a jump onto Orton, but Bryan shoves him off of the top, sending him crashing to the outside. There, Orton is able to deliver a back suplex to Kingston on the announcers table. (Commercial)

We come back as Bryan lands huge blows to Kingston in the ring. Orton tags into the match and sends Kingston to the outside of the ring. He then delivers yet another back suplex to Kofi on the announcers table. He gets him back into the ring and locks in a headlock. Kingston is able to momentarily battle out of it, but is sent to the corner. Orton goes for a shoulder tackle, but is sent shoulder first into the ring apron. Both men are able to make tags into the match, as Styles and Bryan tag in. Styles is able to go onto the attack. The match begins to breakdown, as Styles attempts a calf crusher onto Bryan. All off the competitors in the match begin to trade blows, but it is Styles and Bryan who end up in the ring. Styles is able to make a tag to Kingston, who goes on the attack. He is able to land a big dropkick to Bryan from the top rope. Bryan retreats to the outside, but Kofi hits him and Rowan with a splash. Kingston brings Bryan back into the ring and delivers a huge Trouble in Paradise to Bryan. He pins the WWE Champion in the middle of the ring. AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, & Kofi Kingston win

After the match, Shane McMahon comes out and announces that Daniel Bryan will defend his WWE Championship at Fastlane against Kofi Kingston!
