Good evening wrestling world! Tonight’s Smackdown comes to us from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. On tonight’s episode, we will see The Miz take on Jey Uso just a couple days before their championship match. Also, what will Daniel Bryan have to say about Kevin Owens replacing Kofi Kingston in the WWE Championship match? We will find out in the coming moments!

We kick off the show with the WWE Champion, the “New” Daniel Bryan. He enters the ring and we are shown a video package of the events of last week's Smackdown, where Kofi Kingston was replaced by Kevin Owens in the WWE Championship match. Bryan says that Kingston is a “supporting player” and that Mr.McMahon was right to replace him. However, he says that McMahon was not right to replace him with Kevin Owens because he is undeserving of a shot at the WWE title. Bryan says that he has everything to lose because he is the “Planet’s Champion.” Kevin Owens interrupts him and makes his way into the arena. He says that he is a changed man ever since returning from his injury. He says that he knew once he saw Daniel Bryan making a mockery of the WWE Championship and thinking that he was better than everyone else, he knew who he was coming for once he returned back from his injury. The two men trade verbal jabs back and forth for a while until Rowan steps in the face of Kevin Owens. The two exchange hands, which results in Owens sending Rowan to the outside of the ring. Owens turns his attention to Bryan. The attack on Bryan is shortly lived because Rowan returns to the ring and plants Owens with a chokeslam.

Up next, The Miz attempts to gain some momentum heading into Fastlane when he takes on Jey Uso in a singles match. (Commercial)

The Miz vs. Jey Uso

The match started during the commercial break, where The Miz took the advantage in the match. He was able to dominate Jey throughout the break. He locks Jey in a headlock,butt usso is able to fight out and deliver an enziguri. Both men stand and Jey delivers a barrage of elbow. He goes for a samoan droop, but Miz sends him into the corner and delivers multiple running clothesline. On the third attempt, Uso is able to avoid the clothesline, but is then hit with a vicious ddt. Miz stands Uso up and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Jey is able to reverse and deliver a samoan drop. He positions Miz in the corner and delivers a running hip attack. After he lands it, he goes for a splash from the top rope. Miz appears to block the splash when he gets his legs up, but Jey catches his legs in the air. Jey stands the Miz up and goes for a rollup pinfall attempt. Outside distraction from Jimmy and Shane allows for the Miz to hit a Skull Crushing Finale onto Jey. The Miz wins

Backstage, Charlotte Flair says that it seems as if Smackdown is missing the presence of Becky Lynch. She invites Becky to come to Smackdown tonight to have a “friendly discussion.”

R-Truth makes his way to the ring, with Carmella, and issues another United States open challenge. We find out who will answer the challenge next! (Commercial)

We come back as Truth and Carmella have made their way into the ring. Truth once again says that he wants to be like John Cena and continue the US open challenge. The person to answer the challenge is Samoa Joe. Joe makes his way to the ring, but Rey Mysterio and Andrade make their way to the ring as well. The match is made official and we will have a fatal four way match after the break. (Commercial)

United States Championship Match: R-Truth vs. Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade

The match has started and has been chaotic since the opening bell. Joe seems to have control as he sends all men to the outside of the ring. He keeps Mysterio on the inside and begins to punish him, delivering a powerslam followed by an elbow drop. He then sends Mysterio to the outside and brings the fight out there. He delivers chops to the chest of each competitor in the match. He and Andrade reenter the ring and Joe continues to punish Andrade. He’s able to down him in the corner of the ring. Mysterio reenters the ring, but is quickly brought down by Joe. Andrade attempts to fight back against Joe, but is sent flying to the outside of the ring. Joe then hits Andrade with a suicide dive forearm on the outside. On the outside, Joe continues to punish Mysterio and Andrade. He attempts to send Mysterio ribs first into the barricade, but Mysterio is able to hold on long enough for Truth to dropkick Joe stomach first into the barricade. (Commercial)

The match continues as the four men continue to do battle. Andrade delivers three suplexes (three amigos) to Mysterio. He goes to the top rope to attempt a frog splash, but Rey knocks him off the top .Andrade, however picks Mysterio up and attempts to deliver a superplex, but Truth breaks it up. All four men begin to trade blows. Truth is able to position the three other men in the corner and deliver splashes. Truth attempts one onto Joe, but is hit with a uranage. Mysterio hits Joe with a Hurricanrana. Some quick action and Truth begins to gain momentum, down in the other three men. He is able to land a five knuckle shuffle to Joe and Mysterio. Truth attempts a scissor kick onto Joe, but he avoids and locks in a Coquina Clutch. Truth is able to escape to the rope, where Mysterio lands 619 onto Joe. Mysterio sends Truth to the outside of the ring and lands a sliding suicide dive. Andrade goes to the outside and hits Rey with a huge powerbomb. Andrade gates Mysterio into the ring and attempts a hammerlock ddt, but Rey reverses and is able to hit a 619. He delivers a frog splash and goes for a pin, but it is broken up by Joe. Joe hits Andarde with a uranage and pins him for the victory. Samoa Joe wins and is the NEW United States Champion

Backstage, Becky Lynch makes her way into the arena on crutches.

Up next we see Aleister Black and Ricochet take on the Bar. (Commercial)

Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. The Bar

Ricochet and Sheamus start the match off. Sheamus lands a kick to the midsection of Ricochet, but Ricochet is quickly able to answer with a barrage of forearms followed by a big dropkick. Sheamus is then able to back Ricochet into the corner. There, Ricochet exits to the ring apron. A distraction from Cesaro allows Sheamus to land a huge knee to the midsection of Ricochet, sending him crashing to the outside mat. (Commercial)

The match continues as The Bar remains in control. Cesaro is able to keep Ricochet on the ground. However, Ricochet is able to fight his way back up and deliver a big ddt to Cesaro. Blac makes the tag and goes on the attack to Sheamus, who also makes the tag. He is able to hit Sheamus with a springboard moonsault, followed by a huge knee to the jaw of Sheamus. Cesaro is able to make the tag and take back control of the match after he and Sheamus are able to floor Black. Cesaro turns his back after thinking that he has floored him, but he turns around and is met with a Black Mass. Ricochet makes the tag and delivers a 630 splash. Aleister Black & Ricochet win

After the match, Black and Ricochet are attacked by Rusev and Nakamura. However, the attack is shortly lived when The Hardys make their way out and help the duo get rid of the the Bar and Rusev and Nakamura. (Commercial)

Mandy Rose vs. Naomi

The two quickly trade blows and go back and forth until a distraction from Sonya Deville allows for Rose to hit Naomi with a Bicycle Knee. She then hits a double underhook facebuster and pins Naomi for the victory. Mandy Rose wins

After the match, Asuka attacks Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville at the top of the entrance ramp. She is able to make quick work of the two women, leaving them in a pile at the top of the entrance ramp. (Commercial)

Kevin Owens vs. Rowan

The bell rings and the two trade blows. Rowan is able to land a big boot on Owens. He sends him into the corner ad delivers a huge running splash, followed by a dropkick by the big man. Owens retreats to the outside. Daniel Bryan, at the announcers desk, begins to insult Owens, who eventually hears enough and attacks Bryan. However, Rowan breaks up the attack. Daniel eventually joins in on the attack and the match is stopped. Kevin Owens wins

After the match, Bryan orders Rowan to chokeslam Owens through the announcers table, but out comes a returning Mustafa Ali to break up the attack. He’s able to bring Rowan down to the mat with a hurricarana that sends him into the ring pole. He is, however, met with a running knee from Daniel Bryan. Bryan brings him back to the inside of the ring, but Bryan is hit with a Stunner by Owens. Rowan then pulls Bryan to the outside of the ring and the two men retreat. (Commercial)

We come back as Charlotte Flair makes her way into the ring. We see a video of what occurred during last night’s Raw. Charlotte then introduces Lynch to the ring. Lynch admits that she is in pain, but she will continue to be in pain if that is what it takes to be in the minds of Flair and Ronda Rousey. She tells Flair that she has nothing left to lose. Flair kicks the crutches away from Lynch and begins to go on the attack to her former friend. Becky is able to regain control of the crutch and bring Flair down to the mat, where she locks in the Dis-Arm-Her. The submission is broken up by a group of referees and Flair retreats to the outside of the ring. We end the night with Lynch standing tall in the middle of the ring, telling Flair that she will see her at Fastlane.
