John Cena came down to the ring to open the show and he recapped last week's Cena/Nakamura match for the #1 contendership at SummerSlam. He talked about losing that match and then shaking Nakamura's hand afterwards as he had earned the right to gain the opportunity to become champion. Suddenly, Mr. Money in the Bank Baron Corbin interrupted him and called himself "the future" while he could make Cena "the past." Cena had the crowd chanting "dumpster fire" at Corbin and then dared him to come down but Corbin said there was no point and all he needs is the WWE Championship. He declared that Cena just wasn't worth his time. Daniel Bryan then made his way out and made it official for SummerSlam - John Cena vs. Baron Corbin.

1) The Usos def. Sami Zayn/Tye Dillinger by submission in 6:43 when Dillinger tapped out to a Tequilla Sunrise. The Canadian crowd was decidedly not happy with that result. After the match, New Day jumped the brothers but they managed to escape before the champs could unload on them with steel chairs.

Randy Orton cut a promo about facing Rusev at SummerSlam before moving on to his non-title match against WWE Champion Jinder Mahal tonight.

Another edition of Fashion Peaks was shown complete with a cameo by Arn Anderson who admitted that he 'killed' Tully.

2) Charlotte Flair def. Lana by submission in 2:24 when she locked in the Figure Eight.

Shane McMahon came down to the ring to lay out his "rules of engagement" for Styles vs. Owens at SummerSlam. He brought out both the United States Champion AJ Styles and Kevin Owens to get their words regarding the match. Owens tried to stir the pot regarding the history between Styles and McMahon and even showed footage of Shane serving as a guest referee and screwing over Steve Austin at Survivor Series 1998. Shane said he would be a completely impartial referee and not get involved unless absolutely necessary. AJ suggested that they just do this right here and now for the championship but Owens said he would rather win it in the US in a city that matters. In the ensuing scuffle, AJ accidentally hit Shane with the Pele Kick.

Lana and Tamina talked about helping each other some more.

3) Carmella def. Women's Champion Naomi by pinfall in 6:20 after a superkick following James Ellsworth interference.

Natalya warned Carmella and James Ellsworth not to mess with her title match at SummerSlam.

Shinsuke Nakamura cut a pre-recorded promo while being interviewed by Renee Young.

4) Randy Orton def. WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in a non-title match by pinfall in 11:41 when he hit the RKO. After the match, Rusev showed up on the stage and superkicked Orton while he was posing.
