Kevin Owens began the show by cancelling everything and proclaiming Smackdown as the Kevin Owens Show. Suddenly, Shane McMahon's music hit but it was Dolph Ziggler doing an impression to fake out the crowd. After he left, Owens was quickly joined by Daniel Bryan, who re-assured Owens that he is the one that is in charge and also confirmed that Mr. McMahon would be there very soon... and that Owens would not like what he has in store.

1) AJ Styles def. Tye Dillinger by submission to retain the United States Championship in 7:19 when he locked him in the Calf Crusher and succeeded despite interference from Baron Corbin. After the contest, Corbin beat both guys down and announced that he would challenge Styles next week for the title.

Rusev declared that he was not welcome back home in Bulgaria after his embarrassing loss at SummerSlam. Therefore, he must destroy a legend.

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal came out to the ring with the Singh Brothers to cut a promo on facing Shinsuke Nakamura at Hell in a Cell.

Kevin Owens has a stagehand write up a list of demands for him before running into Sami Zayn in the backstage area. He told Sami that he would be fired once Kevin owns the company and so he could go back to working in front of 42 people.

2) The New Day (Big E/Kofi) def. The Usos by pinfall in a Sin City Street Fight to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championship in 11:20 when they hit Jimmy with the Midnight Hour.

3) Natalya def. Naomi by submission to retain the Smackdown Women's Championship in 7:12.

Kevin Owens commends Aiden English and his "beautiful voice," getting him to sing a demo for the new Kevin Owens Show.

Dolph Ziggler came down and did his speech about elaborate entrances before making his way out to Bayley's theme (complete with the inflatable arm flailing tube men) and then Ultimate Warrior's theme and then said that anyone could do those entrances but NO ONE can do what he does in the ring. Dolph finished by saying he couldn't care less about the fans.

4) Chad Gable/Shelton Benjamin def. The Hype Bros by pinfall in 2:26 when Gable pinned Ryder following a powerbomb/top-rope clothesline combo. Following the contest, Zack Ryder refused to shake hands with Gable & Benjamin, instead skulking to the back.

Kevin Owens was back out to the ring awaiting the presence of Mr. McMahon... and eventually he made his appearance to a pretty positive reaction. Vince mocked Owens for attempting to sue WWE and said that if the lawsuit is filed, Kevin will be fired. Kevin continued to complain and Vince said that he suspended Shane because he didn't finish the job and destroy KO once and for all. Vince said he will re-instate Shane and booked a match between Shane and Kevin in a Hell in a Cell match at the PPV of the same name. Vince gave him carte blanche to beat up a McMahon if provoked so he nailed Vince and even hit him with a frog splash. Vince was busted open to end the show. Stephanie McMahon then came out and yelled at Owens but he showed no sympathy whatsoever.
