Surprisingly after his nasty fall at Survivor Series, Shane McMahon comes down to the ring to open the show and celebrates the victory but puts over Team RAW for their efforts as well. Shane thanks Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton in particular since they ended up as the survivors and then derides AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose for not being able to put their differences aside for one hour. This draws Dean Ambrose out to the ring who asks Shane why he's so down because they ended up winning the match. Shane tells him to chill and brings up the fact that Dean nearly cost them the match when he went after Styles and got him eliminated. Dean quickly changes the subject and brings out the guy who helped to eliminate Braun Strowman... James Ellsworth! Dean mentions a surprise but then spoils it by announcing that James has been given a Smackdown! Live contract. Shane agrees but says that he's giving Dean the night off and tells him that he's unpredictable as of late and needs to leave the building. Dean cooperates... until he runs into WWE World Champion AJ Styles as they cross each other's paths on the stage. Still, he heads to the back as AJ starts talking on the microphone. He doesn't think that James deserves a contract or anything for that matter and calls him a "charity case." AJ even challenges James to a ladder match tonight where he can reach up and actually earn his contract so James says he wants it but if he wins he wants a future title shot at AJ. Shane makes it official. Suddenly, Ambrose shows up again to motivate Ellsworth.

Daniel Bryan tells Miz and Maryse to wrap up the photo shoot so the Intercontinental Champion says that he expects a celebration but Bryan is humiliated by the manner in which he won at Survivor Series. Bryan is giving Miz an "opportunity" and that will be to defend the title against Kalisto - NEXT!

Dean Ambrose goofs around but Shane begs Dean to leave and makes sure he goes out the door.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match
The Miz (c) [w /Maryse] vs. Kalisto

Miz starts off quick but Kalisto uses his quickness to grab a one count. Miz then misses a clothesline and gets rolled up for a two count followed by an inside cradle for another two count from the challenger. He follows up with a tope suicida and we take a commercial break.

As we come back, Miz is delivering kicks in the corner and mocking Daniel Bryan. He misses a charge in the corner though and Kalisto manages to kick him in the face. He takes the champ down with a seated senton and a tornillo but only grabs a two count. Kalisto is relentless in getting himself another two count but a distraction from Baron Corbin allows Miz to grab the Skull-Crushing Finale for the win.

WINNER via PINFALL: The Miz (7:14)

Baron Corbin lays Kalisto out with End of Days but as Miz is laughing, Dolph Ziggler lays HIM out with a superkick on the stage.

Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss have a little tet-a-tet regarding their upcoming title match at TLC. Natalya then interrupts and says that the women losing at Survivor Series was the fault of one person - Becky Lynch. Shane McMahon says that they're ALL to blame and also mentions that we still don't know who attacked Nikki Bella. Nattie quotes "My Heart Will Go On" to talk about how she will beat Becky tonight. Dean Ambrose then walks in with pizza and Shane re-iterates that he told him to leave. He tells him once again to head out as Becky makes a pizza pun and walks off.

Daniel Bryan says that Baron Corbin will face consequences for his recent actions and thus he will face Kane tonight.

Tag Team Turmoil
#1 - The Hype Bros vs. The Ascension

It starts out with Mojo getting thrown into the barricade and then Ryder gets sent out shortly after as well. Konnor flattens Ryder with a clothesline to grab a two count before bringing in Viktor for some general pounding with a chop and some kicks. Ryder manages a double neckbreaker on both guys and then Mojo runs back in so that they can hit the Hype Ryder on Viktor for the win. (2:06)

#2 - The Hype Bros vs. Breezango

Breezango quickly get tossed outside the ring where the Bros hit them with dives. We take a commercial break.

When we come back, Mojo is taken down but Zack gets a missile dropkick on Breeze... and misses the Broski Boot. Fandango nails Ryder with a slingshot elbowdrop and that's enough for the win. (7:13 (total))

#3 - Breezango vs. American Alpha

AA come out with lots of fire but Fandango gets a quick near fall on Gable and then he and Breeze kick him in the head for another two count. Gable manages to counter a sunset flip from Fandango for the win. (8:29 (total))

#4 - American Alpha vs. The Vaudevillains

The Vaudevillains run down but Gotch gets tossed and English gets German Suplexed by Gable for the three count. (8:53)

#5 - American Alpha vs. The Usos

We start with Gable locking up with Jimmy but it goes nowhere. We take another commercial break.

We come back with the Usos working over Jordan and Jimmy slapping him in a chinlock. Jordan pushes him towards his corner but Jimmy cuts him off and tags Jey. A double back suplex gets a two count followed by a kick to the head from Jey and we go back to the chinlock. The Usos stay on the offense and work over Jordan with some basic double-teaming but Jordan flips out of a suplex, tosses Jey and clotheslines Jimmy on the ropes. The tag is made to Gable, who tosses Jey and hits Jimmy with an Alphaplex. A German Suplex on Jimmy gets a very close near fall but when he goes to the outside, he gets rammed into the ringpost. Chad fights back with right hands but Jey gets a blind tag and NEARLY gets the win with a backbreaker/forearm smash combo. Jordan makes the blind tag and Gable hits the avalanche bulldog but Jimmy breaks up the count at the last second. Gable gets tossed but so does Jimmy. Jey's top-rope splash hits knees though and Jordan cradles him for yet another two count. Jordan tags in Gable but Jimmy pulls him off the apron. Jey goes after Jordan's knee but Gable surprises Jimmy with a German Suplex. Grand Amplitude on Jey! 1-2-3! (21:00 (total))

WINNERS: American Alpha (21:00)

Suddenly, the Wyatt Family appear on the big screen and warn AA that they're taking them on in the finals of Tag Team Turmoil... next week.

Daniel Bryan wants to make sure that James Ellsworth is ready for this match but he says any man with two feet can climb a ladder and achieve a childhood dream. Suddenly, Dean Ambrose shows up dressed as a mountie and Daniel says Shane will FREAK if he sees Dean again. Sure enough, Shane is back and yells at Dean. Bryan tells Shane to take off so he leaves before he does anything he regrets. Dean tells Bryan to inform AJ that "the Mountie always gets his man" and Daniel nearly cracks up on-camera.

Alexa Bliss joins the announce table for color commentary.

Non-Title Match
Becky Lynch (Smackdown Women's Champion) vs. Natalya

Nattie takes Becky down with a headlock but Becky reverses to a headscissors. Nattie gets out of it so Becky tries a headlock this time and they reverse roles from the previous lockup. Nattie gets some shots to the face but Becky fires back with some of her own. She goes up top but Nattie brings her down with a sit-out powerbomb for two as we take a break.

When we come back, Becky fights out of an abdominal stretch but Nattie takes her down for a two count. She slams the champion down and sits on her for a two count. Nattie pulls some of Becky's hair out but gets cradled for a near fall and then eats elbow and a boot. Becky gets a pair of clotheslines and a leg lariat to set up the flying firearm but Nattie reverses the Dis-Arm-Her for a two count. She goes for it a second time but Nattie gets another near fall off a rollup. The champ gets a Bexplex but Nattie shoves her into the corner and gets a two count but Becky reverses the Sharpshooter into the Dis-Arm-Her for the submission victory.

WINNER via SUBMISSION: Becky Lynch (7:25)

Bliss jumps Becky and plants her with a DDT.

The Hype Bros do a WWE Shop ad.

The Miz demands that Dolph Ziggler get suspended for the attack on him but Daniel gives Dolph a title shot (his last shot) at TLC in a Ladder match.

Nikki accuses Carmella of jumping her at Survivor Series but the latter says that she would have taken credit for it. She says that Nikki has tons of enemies but Nikki warns Carm that they're going to have one match to settle this feud. It will be No DQs at TLC.

Kane vs. Baron Corbin

Kane immediately goes for the chokeslam but Baron gets out of it only to be booted down. He uses one solid right hand to have Kane reeling but the Big Red Machine fires back and then clotheslines him in the corner. Baron plays cat-and-mouse to get back in the ring and forearm Kane in the face but Kalisto comes out and jumps Corbin for the obvious DQ.

WINNER via DQ: Baron Corbin (1:04)

Kane decides to chokeslam Corbin anyway and then Kalisto stands over hs fallen foe. He grabs a chair but Corbin slides out of the ring at the last second. He does run back in but Kalisto nails him with a Van Daminator and sends him packing again.

WWE Contract Ladder Match
James Ellsworth vs. AJ Styles (WWE World Champion)

AJ goads James by giving him the first shot but then knocks him to the outside. AJ methodically grabs a ladder and puts it into the ring but James hangs onto it for dear life. AJ yanks on the ladder though, which drives Ellsworth's ribs into the apron. The champ then sets up the ladder and climbs but James grabs him by the foot so AJ simply kicks him down and rips his shirt off, revealing a back brace. AJ gives him a vicious backbreaker and then ties him up in the ladder so he can kick him in the ribs as well. He puts the ladder on Ellsworth's prone form and climbs up but Dean Ambrose appears in an Ottawa Senators jersey! He knocks AJ to the outside and helps Ellsworth up before telling the little guy to get up that ladder. However, AJ comes back in with the Phenomenal Forearm and climbs up... but Ellsworth tips the ladder over and AJ falls to the outside! James prepares to climb up the ladder but AJ comes back in... and gets superkicked, which also traps the champion's leg in the ropes! James grabs his contract for the monumental upset.

WINNER: James Ellsworth (5:40)
