WWE Smackdown Results 10/15/2015
Thursday, October 15, 2015
From U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio
Report by James B. of WrestlingNewsWorld.com

It was widely reported that this week's taping of Smackdown was attended by roughly 3,000 people. (The arena holds 17,000, with a wrestling setup of 10,000). Yikes! What else is/was there to do on a Tuesday night in Cincinnati?! I would love to report on some pops and heat, but I have a feeling there wasn't much of it this week. Let's see what the fine folks of Cincinnati missed out on...

Note to WWE: It's probably not a great idea to start out the show with: "...After finding out on TMZ...". You've already lost half of us if you're starting the show with Ziggler/Lana/Summer Rae/Rusev commentary. Last week, the New Day and Dudley Boyz opened the show, with Roman Reigns and the Wyatts in the main event. This week, we get a reversal with Reigns opening the show against Bo Dallas and the New Day in a six-man tag match to close it.

Bo Dallas gives a brief inspirational speech, saying that his trip to Suplex City has prepared him for tough guys like Roman Reigns. During the match, he pulls out a number of funny guy/heel tactics including asking the ref for a timeout, and shaking Roman's hand out of admiration. But none of it works as Reigns hits the big spear for the pinfall. After the match, Reigns delivers a less-than-inspirational promo which catches Bray Wyatt's attention on the Titan Tron. Wyatt delivers a poignant message, instilling fear into his Hell in a Cell opponent.

Finally! A tag match with Neville that doesn't involve Stardust, and a Wade Barrett match that doesn't involve R Truth! What a pleasant change of pace. The second match of the evening features Neville and Cesaro against Wade Barrett and Sheamus. Neville starts the match with a barrage of high-flying maneuvers, including a moonsault over the ropes using Cesaro's back as a spring-board and a cross-body from the top ropes. Cesaro delivers a multitude of European uppercuts to both Sheamus and Barrett before attempting the Swing on Sheamus. Sheamus reaches for his Money in the Bank briefcase, distracting the ref and allowing Barrett to hit the Bullhammer on an unsuspecting Cesaro. Sheamus gets the roll-up for the pin.

Don't deprive us of a Woo Woo Woo entrance! We return from break with Zack Ryder already in the ring and Ryback on commentary awaiting Kevin Owens' arrival. Owens squashes him with a pop-up power bomb in less than a minute, then flees the ring before Ryback comes charging after.
