Sting Confirms He Needs Neck Surgery

Sting WWE

Sting revealed on the latest episode of Ric Flair’sWOOOOO! Nation podcast released on Wednesday that he will indeed require neck injury stemming from the injuries he suffered in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions earlier this year.

Sting was injured on both buckle bombs and took responsibility for the spots. He said it was his fault he got injured and absolved Seth of any wrongdoing. What happened is Sting’s neck whiplashed on both of them. There was a tense moment when he suffered some temporary paralysis but obviously, he ended up being able to continue and finished the match.

Different neurologists and WWE’sJoseph Maroon have looked at his neck and Dr. Maroon believes he will need surgery. Sting is hoping they do not have to perform neck fusion surgery. He is suffering from cervical spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck) in two places.

Sting talked about John Cena having a similar problem and getting his fixed and other WWE guys that have had great success under the care of Dr. Maroon.
