TMZ Sports have provided further information regarding Sting’s injuries suffered in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins Sunday night at Night of Champions. According to their report, Sting was injured several times during the bout but the most serious injury — a neck injury — occurred during the powerbomb spot against the turnbuckle. TMZ noted per their sources the neck injury was so serious doctors were not able to give a long-term prognosis.
Sting underwent a CAT scan at a local hospital on Sunday which revealed there were no fractures. TMZ reports Sting was released Monday afternoon, able to walk, but in significant pain.
