Sting Makes WWE Debut At Survivor Series

Sting debuted with WWE at Survivor Series on Sunday night. He came out just as Team Authority was about to win the main event after Triple H had orchestrated Seth Rollins to pin Dolph Ziggler.

Sting came to the ring, taking out referee Scott Armstrong in the process. He ended up giving Hunter the Scorpion Death Drop and putting Ziggler on top of Rollins. The referee came back in and made the three count, giving Team Cena the win.

Below is an excerpt from our Survivor Series results:

Hunter winds up and hits Ziggler with a huge clothesline. Hunter picks Ziggler up to his feet and drops him with a pedigree. Hunter rolls Ziggler over, and pulls Rollins on top. He calls for one more referee, and Scott Armstrong runs down. Armstrong goes to count, but he’s interrupted by STING!

Sting’s music hits, and the Icon makes his way out! In an incredibly surreal moment, the final WCW star to never set foot in a WWE ring is here!

Sting takes out Armstrong, then makes his way slowly into the ring. He stands across from Hunter, staring him down.

Hunter circles around Sting, eyeing him and sizing him up. There’s a huge amount of tension, and the crowd chants ‘this is awesome’ for just the stare down.

Hunter throws a right, but Sting ducks it. Sting kicks Hunter, and then drops him with the Scorpion death drop. Sting reverses the pin, and places Ziggler on top of Rollins. Sting leaves the ring, and walks slowly to the back. The ref is in, and he makes the count.

As the storyline goes, The Authority are no longer in power. They'll "keep their office jobs" but “they can have no influence on careers and personal lives of WWE talent” and the only person that can bring them back is John Cena.

Sting began a working relationship with WWE earlier this year and first appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con alongside Paul Heyman, Hulk Hoganand Daniel Bryan on July 24, 2014. He’s made it clear he wants a match against Undertaker at Wrestlemania and even said he wishes the streak wouldn’t have ended.

Since beginning a relationship with WWE, Sting has had a new DVD set (The Best of Sting) released and is one of the headliners in the WWE 2K15 video game.

November 23, 2014 marks Sting’s first in-ring appearance for WWE since his pro wrestling career began in 1985.
