Triple H returned to the weekly Michael Cole interview series on Wednesday. He started by saying he's on the same page as Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair regarding John Cena invoking his rematch clause against Brock Lesnar. He said if Hulk Hogan was honest with himself, which he doesn't think he ever is, he might be on the same page too.
Hunter said what he saw on Monday from Cena was a man trying too hard to send a message to Brock Lesnar. Cole asked if Triple H thought Cena was trying to convince himself. Hunter said up until now, Cena's career of never quitting and never giving up has worked out well. He talked about Cena's program with Lesnar being a pretty intimating cliff. Triple H said this might be John Cena's last stand.
Asked about Seth Rollins' eulogy for Dean Ambrose, Triple H said it was a nice gesture. When Cole asked if Hunter was going to take action against Kane and Rollins for trying to use the cinderblocks on Roman Reigns, Hunter questioned what about Reigns for going after Rollins with them. He said "thank God Rollins has the reflexes like a cat." Triple H questioned if Cole just wanted him to let Roman Reigns go. He said this is a physical business and he's looking for A+ players that can hang.
Hunter said Daniel Bryan proved he's a B+ player and that's why he's been out injured so long. He's not a tough guy. He said Dean Ambrose bit off more than he can chew [with Seth Rollins] and he's not an A+ player that can hang. Triple H said he's not going to start banning everything around here when guys start to push things a little bit.
If the guys that aren't tough enough get run off, maybe that's what is best for business.
