Finn Balor is still on target to return to WWE from a torn labrum at Wrestlemania 33 next year.
That was the initial timetable set when he suffered the injury in his WWE Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam and it’s remained unchanged. We have heard that Balor has been running ahead of schedule and there was a possibility of him coming back sooner but nothing we were able to confirm.
Balor seemed to confirm what we've been hearing in an interview that he did with Sam Roberts over the weekend where he stated that he’s rehabbing six hours a day and that he could return sooner [than Wrestlemania 33] but did not give further details.
The original plan was for Balor to win the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam and become the face of the new Raw brand, however, it was quickly changed when it was learned that he would require surgery and several months off to repair a torn labrum. Balor is expected to get a big push when he is able to return to WWE.
