Scott Stanford appeared on the WWE Network Saturday afternoon to bring us an update on Roman Reigns. As noted, Reigns was rushed to the hospital Saturday morning in Nashville, where he had emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia. Stanford spoke with WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann over the phone about Reigns' injury.
Amann noted that this injury was not caused by anything he did in the ring. Reigns will be out for approximately 4-6 weeks, but that may go up to 10-12 weeks. He will have to let the tissue fully heal before getting back in the ring.
Reigns will not be competing tomorrow at Night of Champions, where he was scheduled to face Seth Rollins. There has been no word yet on if Rollins will be in action.
